1. Each player is allowed only one marker, barrel, and CO2/N2 tank on the playing field. All players are subject to gun checks before, during, and/or after any tournament game.
2. When in any public meeting area, all barrels must be securely attatched and blocked by a barrel plug or cover that can be in no way blown loose enough to allow ball passage. Any NAPL officer or referee may check a barrel plug at any given time. All markers must meet manufacturer quailfications, and have a trigger guard and safety switch.
3. It must be impossible, or extremely difficult for a player to adjust the gun velocity on the playing field. The max speed of fire is 300 fps. All markers are subject for chronograph check before, during, and/or after any game.
4. All markers will undergo the following tests before the first game. Markers may be randomly checked throughout the tournament.
a. Mechanical bounce- markers will be tested for mechanical bounce by bumping the tank or hopper. No contact will be made with the trigger. If the marker fires, it will be deemed to have mechanical bounce.
b. Electronic bounce- markers will be tested for mechanical bounce by pulling the trigger firmly three consecutive times. During these three pulls, the marker can only fire three paintballs. If more than three paintballs are fired the marker is deemed to have electronic bounce. |
